(Bandar Seri Begawan, 28th) In conjunction with the 78th birthday of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei, His Majesty the Sultan of the country granted Brunei National Honor Medals today.
A total of 463 individuals were awarded medals at a ceremony held at Istana Nurul Iman.
The Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Crown Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, presented the medals on behalf of His Majesty.
Also present at the ceremony was Prince Abdul Malik.
Among the recipients, 13 people were awarded the PJK honor medal, including 10 men and 3 women. The recipients include personnel from His Majesty the Sultan's Office and the Ministry of Defense.
Regarding the conferment of the PIKB medal, a total of 449 people received this medal, comprising 215 men and 234 women. The recipients come from His Majesty the Sultan’s Office and the Supreme Leader's Office (33 people), the Prime Minister’s Office (145 people), the Ministry of Defense (29 people), the Ministry of Finance and Economy (70 people), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (11 people), the Ministry of Religious Affairs (127 people), the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (18 people), and the Ministry of Transport and Communications (16 people).
Additionally, an official from the Ministry of Defense was awarded the “Pingat Pahlawan Periwara” (PP) medal.
