(Kuching, 13th) Kuching Chung Hua Middle School No. 4 held the 62nd Junior High Completion Ceremony for the year 2024 today, with a total of 80 students successfully completing their junior high studies.
Acting Chairman of the School's Board, Ben Manja Kow Wui Ning, stated during his speech that the school has been working closely with the Sarawak Government and the Chinese Charity Trust Foundation and has reached an agreement on land exchange, with preliminary planning already underway.
He disclosed that the implementation of the relocation plan will still take time as the government is currently undertaking reorganization work on the existing school site, which includes drainage, excavation, and environmental improvements, to prepare for future planning.
“Reflecting on the school's journey since its establishment in 2006, and especially the inauguration of the new four-story teaching building in 2008.”
He emphasized that with the long-term support of the Chinese Charity Trust Foundation, the school has gradually developed from a micro school into a medium-sized school and has nurtured a large number of students for society, some of whom have successfully entered tertiary institutions for further studies.
Principal Guan Chen Yang of Kuching Chung Hua Middle School No. 4 emphasized that students are about to enter the high school stage, which is an important period full of opportunities and challenges.
He encouraged students to learn Mandarin, the national language, and English well, to gain a deep understanding of Chinese culture, and to lay a solid foundation for future competition.
He stated that the school's educational philosophy emphasizes “there are no weak students, only differences,” and through appreciation and encouragement, it helps students discover their potential and cultivate well-rounded talents.
He congratulated the award-winning students and encouraged them to keep striving for higher goals.
For students who did not receive awards, he hoped they would not be discouraged, but instead use each summary as motivation for progress and showcase a better self in the new school year.
He expressed gratitude to all teachers, board members, alumni, people from all walks of life, teachers, and parents for their support, which has collectively driven the school's development.
