(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) The 2023 Gaza Palestinian Humanitarian Fund received a donation of BND 23,688 from Brunei’s Ministry of Finance and Economy yesterday.
The handover ceremony was officiated by Brunei’s Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew, who presented the donation to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dato Nazmi.
During yesterday’s donation ceremony held at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) building, the 2023 Gaza Palestinian Humanitarian Fund received
this contribution, which was made up of donations from officers and staff members of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, as well as public donations collected in the ministry’s lobby.
Brunei’s fundraising campaign for the Gaza Palestinian Humanitarian Fund will continue until October 18, allowing the public to continue to contribute in hopes of alleviating the hardships faced by the people of Gaza, Palestine.
Those who wish to fundraise for the fund, if the net fundraising amount reaches 100%, may apply for a permit via the Community Development Department (JAPEM), which serves as the National Committee Secretariat for the fund. Individuals, associations, and other registered organizations wishing to donate a portion of the net proceeds from public entertainment activities to the fund are advised to apply for a permit in advance from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The public who wish to donate online can do so through Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), account number: 00-001-01-0089051 (Gaza Palestinian Humanitarian Fund 2023), or via BIBD QuickPay. Donation boxes are also available at mosques, prayer halls, religious venues, bank buildings, commercial, and public premises throughout the country.
The public may also remit donations to the National Fund Committee Secretariat located at JAPEM.
