After the landslide in Pengshui County, Chongqing, China, a total of 30 victims have been newly confirmed and recovered from last Thursday (July 23) to Tuesday (28th) at 9 PM.
A large-scale landslide occurred at Hanqiao Subdistrict, Pengshui, Chongqing at 9 AM on July 17, burying several residential buildings and a passenger bus carrying multiple people.
According to China Central Television (CCTV), since entering the intensive search phase, professional rescue teams have been working around the clock, repeatedly inspecting, advancing layer by layer, and searching one by one.
As of Tuesday, Chinese authorities have fully completed the search of areas A and B, and the search work in zones C and D has entered the final critical stage.
From last Thursday to 9 PM Tuesday, after DNA testing and identification of the remains and wreckage recovered at the scene, a total of 30 new victims have been confirmed. The results of some searches are still pending DNA analysis.
