The Anti-Corruption Commission has seized over RM100 million in cash from the residence of a former official of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri!

According to the New Straits Times report, the cash was hidden in bags and safes across multiple rooms, and officers also confiscated documents, jewelry, and electronic devices during the operation.

The raid conducted by the special investigation team of the Anti-Corruption Commission is part of an investigation into the former prime minister's officials who are suspected of abuse of power and money laundering.

An anonymous source revealed that the operation was carried out after months of surveillance, aiming to trace the source of the funds, including potential political donations.

Furthermore, the source added that the investigation also seeks to understand the role of a key official of the former prime minister in the detained funds.

The Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman, Tan Sri Azam Baki, confirmed on Sunday (23rd) that four officials who served during Ismail Sabri's tenure as prime minister have been arrested.

He said the investigation was conducted under Section 16(a) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (soliciting/receiving bribes).

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment after collapsing last Saturday (22nd). His son, Dafi, revealed that Ismail Sabri's blood pressure surged on the day he collapsed, but his condition has since stabilized.
