(Bandar Seri Begawan, 7th) The Brunei Chinese Middle School Alumni Association announces the launch of the “2026 Alumni Children Academic Excellence Incentive Award” application process, now open for submissions. The application mechanism was revised and completed on March 27, 2026, further optimizing both the application process and review standards to ensure the award system is more comprehensive and standardized. This incentive aims to recognize outstanding academic achievement by the children of members and by members themselves, encourage diligence and the pursuit of excellence, and continuously promote local educational development. At the same time, it seeks to strengthen the link between the alumni association and member families and jointly foster an environment that values education and talent development.
This award is open to eligible members’ children and members themselves, covering different stages of education from kindergarten, primary, secondary, to tertiary and university levels. It also includes candidates with outstanding government examination results and those with special merits meeting the required conditions.
Applicants must fully complete the application form and submit it with all required supporting documents to the alumni association secretariat by the deadline of April 30. Required documents include identification documents, a photocopy of the 2025 academic transcript or diploma, and a recent passport-size photo. All application materials will be reviewed uniformly by the selection committee; late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
According to the award rules, eligibility includes: students with outstanding academic performance in kindergarten, primary, and secondary school; those with excellent results in government examinations (such as PSR, SPE, GCE O Level, A Level, and IB, etc.); tertiary and university graduates; and candidates for the “Special Award” who meet the conditions.
The alumni association emphasizes that all awardees must personally attend the award ceremony on June 14 to receive their award. Absence without prior approval will be regarded as an automatic forfeit of eligibility. The decision of the selection committee is final, and the alumni association reserves the right to disqualify ineligible candidates or adjust related arrangements.
