Born into a family with a history in the performing arts, Hong Kong actress Fung So Bo is now 80 years old. Last May, she won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival with the short film "Trash." Recently, as a guest on the YouTube channel "MCM Professional Storage Service," Fung So Bo referred to herself as the "Trash Queen" and revealed that she is now open-minded about life and death. She once considered buying a cemetery in San Francisco, USA, but changed her mind after a conversation with her son.
On the show, Fung So Bo mentioned discussing her afterlife arrangements with her son. She had intended to buy a cemetery plot in San Francisco, but her son told her: "Mom, I won't go to the US just to pay respects to you. I want to keep you by my side. Don't worry, no matter where I go, I'll take you with me."
According to Hong Kong media reports, after her divorce, Fung So Bo raised her son David on her own. Although her son's family has relocated to the UK, it has not affected their relationship. Last year for her birthday, her son and daughter-in-law returned to Hong Kong to celebrate with her. On the show, she also talked about her son's move to the UK, saying: "One day he said he wanted to emigrate and asked if I wanted to go with him. However, after considering for a few days, I decided not to move with him because there's no work I like there. I would be unemployed and would add to my son's burden, so I decided to stay. Once he's settled, I'll go visit. I don't want to be a burden on young people."
