(Yemen, 26th) — The death toll from the Israeli military's airstrike on the Yemeni capital Sanaa on the 25th has risen to 8, with another 142 injured.
According to The Times of Israel, on the 25th, the Israeli Air Force launched a strike against a “Youth Movement” (Houthi) military base in Sanaa as retaliation for the previous day's drone attack by the “Youth Movement” militants on the southern Israeli city of Eilat. That drone strike left more than 20 Israelis wounded.
The Israeli military stated that it would "take more offensive actions" against “Youth Movement” militants in the near future, adding that the military is determined to eliminate any threats to Israeli civilians, no matter how far away.
Since the latest round of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began, “Youth Movement” militants have repeatedly launched drone and missile attacks on Israel, and have attacked ships linked to Israel in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Israel, in turn, has conducted multiple airstrikes on areas controlled by the “Youth Movement” militants.
