The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has banned Chinese citizens holding US visas from participating in the agency's projects.

According to a Bloomberg report, informed sources said that NASA has prohibited Chinese citizens holding US visas from participating in the agency's programs.

NASA spokesperson Stevens confirmed the relevant measures within the agency. Stevens stated: "NASA has undertaken internal actions regarding Chinese citizens, including restricting their access to our facilities, materials, and cyberspace, in order to safeguard the security of our work."

Although NASA has always had relevant restrictions on hiring Chinese citizens, in the past, Chinese citizens holding US visas could still participate in NASA research as outsourced personnel, graduate students, or university scientists.

Informed sources revealed that, since September 5th, Chinese citizens who were previously working at NASA have been denied access to the agency's information systems and participation in work-related meetings, whether in-person or virtual.
