Zhang Linghe’s Recognition Falls Behind Tian Xiwei; 3 Male Stars Most Endorsed

With the impact of short videos and vertical-screen dramas, Chinese dramas have entered a winter of new releases. Broadcasting platforms and investors are becoming increasingly cautious, and unless they have confidence in the cast, they would rather not produce at all. Chinese media invited industry insiders to discuss this phenomenon, and some revealed that when filming costume romance dramas these days, there are three male stars who can directly help production teams win the approval of platforms and sponsors: Song Weilong, Wang Xingyue, and Chen Zheyuan. The currently popular "Pursuing Jade" has boosted the popularity of leads Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei, and staff say Zhang Linghe has become a popular choice for drama invitations. However, his endorsement still falls short compared to Tian Xiwei: “Out of the 10 projects I’ve come into contact with, 8 would prioritize Tian Xiwei,” and investors are still hesitant about Zhang Linghe, mainly because of the “Foundation General” incident.

Insiders revealed that traffic stars who go viral with a single drama will be recognized by platforms and sponsors for a period, but long-term observation is still needed. For instance, Ding Yuxi, who shot to fame with "Eternal Night Star River," isn’t as popular this year. Responding to this statement, Ding Yuxi calmly replied, “I’ll keep working hard ?”.

As for why Wang Xingyue is highly endorsed by platforms and investors, it’s not only because of his professional performance in acting—his boss Yu Zheng has played a major role as well. Platforms believe that choosing Wang Xingyue as the lead is equivalent to harnessing Yu Zheng's publicity team, and regardless of whether the topic is positive or negative, the hype will never be lacking.

Suspected Leg Injury Worsens, Fans Furious and Demand Statement from Studio

In addition, Zhang Linghe recently started filming his new drama “The Return of Luan” and unfortunately got injured. He was spotted by fans limping on set but still pushing through with work. Regarding this, staff from “The Return of Luan” revealed that he experienced a muscle cramp in his leg, which is why he walked with some difficulty. However, on the 27th, Zhang Linghe’s injury reportedly worsened—he was unable to stand up on his own and had to be pulled up by Lin Yun and staff, making fans feel extremely distressed. Some even lashed out, calling on the studio to clarify the cause of Zhang Linghe's injury, medical results, and the severity of the injury.
