According to KCNA on Friday, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un held talks on Thursday in Pyongyang with visiting Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, during which they signed the "Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Belarus."
The report stated that Kim Jong Un and Lukashenko discussed a series of plans to strengthen high-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields between North Korea and Belarus, and exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual concern.
The two sides also signed cooperative agreements in multiple fields including diplomacy, journalism, agriculture, education, and health care.
This is Lukashenko's first official visit to North Korea, lasting two days. According to KCNA, Lukashenko returned home by special plane later on Thursday.
