KUCHING, Aug 7: The Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak yesterday proudly announced its nomination as the sole Malaysian representative in the highly esteemed Bentley Systems 2025 Going Digital Awards.
According to a press release, the recognition underscores JKR Sarawak’s commitment to digital innovation and leadership in infrastructure engineering.

The Going Digital Awards, presented by Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Nasdaq: BSY), celebrate outstanding achievements in using digital innovation to advance infrastructure.
JKR Sarawak’s nomination places it among global industry leaders, chosen from nearly 250 nominations across 47 countries.
“JKR Sarawak is recognised in the Roads and Highways category for its ‘Sarawak Sabah Link Road Phase 2’ project.
“The ongoing execution of this project has been significantly bolstered by the invaluable contributions of local contractors and consultants, demonstrating a strong collaborative effort within the Malaysian infrastructure sector.
“This nomination underscores the agency’s dedication to adopting cutting-edge digital technologies, including AI and digital twins, to drive productivity and resilience,” it said.
“We are immensely honored and proud to be nominated for the Bentley Systems 2025 Going Digital Awards, especially as the sole representative from Malaysia,” said JKR Sarawak director Dr Cassidy Morris in the press release.
“This nomination is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of our teams at JKR Sarawak. It validates our strategic focus on digital transformation to deliver world-class infrastructure projects that benefit the people of Sarawak and Malaysia.”
Finalists will present their projects at Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure conference in Amsterdam, with winners announced on Oct 16.
