BINTANGOR,11: The Meradong District Police Headquarters (IPD) recently organized a blood donation program in conjunction with the 218th Police Day celebration, as part of its social responsibility initiative to assist those in need.
The program was held in collaboration with the Blood Bank Unit of the Bintangor Health Clinic and took place at the Meradong District Office Hall.
This initiative is a community effort aimed at increasing the blood supply and encouraging community involvement in health and welfare activities.
The opening ceremony was officiated by the Member of the State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) of Meradong, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, who also expressed his full support for the organization of this noble activity.
"Activities like this are very important in raising public awareness about the importance of blood donation, and I urge the people of Meradong to continue supporting such initiatives in the future," he said.
He added that the organization of this program demonstrates the police's ongoing commitment not only to maintaining security but also to contributing to the well-being and health of the local community.
"Indirectly, it serves as a good platform to strengthen the relationship between the police and the community through welfare and humanitarian activities," he added.
