JD.com 'Double 11' Sets New Record in Transaction Volume, Orders Grow Nearly 60%

Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com announced that as of 11:59 pm on November 11, JD.com's 'Double 11' transaction volume has once again reached a historical high, with order volume growing nearly 60%. However, JD.com did not disclose the specific transaction amount, marking the fourth consecutive year the platform has not revealed this figure.

In a statement released on its official WeChat account, JD.com said that during this year's 'Double 11' shopping festival, order volume surged nearly 60%, and the number of purchasing users grew by 40%; in contrast, last year's growth was over 20%.

Sales data from JD.com's 'Double 11' period show that 3C digital AI products saw a year-on-year transaction growth of over 100%, with AI tablets and AI large-screen smartphones ranking among the top 5 fastest-growing subcategories within the 3C digital category.

JD.com stated that third-party data indicates the growth rate of active users on the JD.com app remains the highest in the industry.

According to a Bloomberg report, JD.com's record transaction volume proves that concerns about suppressed consumer sentiment amid ongoing deflation in China are misplaced.

JD.com's sales growth may have benefited from overseas expansion. The company stated that in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and other regions, both transaction volume and order volume achieved year-on-year growth of over 100%; for its upgraded cross-border free-shipping service covering 13 countries, transaction volume grew by more than 300% year-on-year.
