The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army announced at 7:30 am on the 29th that, starting that day, it would conduct the 'Joint Justice Mission-2025' exercises in the Taiwan Strait, as well as to the north, southwest, southeast, and east of the island of Taiwan.
According to Chinese state media CCTV, Eastern Theater Command spokesperson Shi Yi stated that beginning December 29th, the PLA Eastern Theater Command will organize army, navy, air force, rocket force and other forces to conduct the 'Joint Justice Mission-2025' exercises in the Taiwan Strait, north of Taiwan, southwest of Taiwan, southeast of Taiwan, and east of Taiwan. The drills will focus on key subjects such as sea and air combat readiness patrols, seizing comprehensive control, blockade of key ports and areas, as well as multidimensional deterrence from the exterior. Ships and aircraft will approach the island from multiple directions, and multiple service branches will conduct joint strikes, aiming to test the theater command’s joint combat operational capabilities in real scenarios.
The Eastern Theater Command also announced that on the morning of the 30th, from 8 am to 6 pm, there will be important military exercises held in five maritime and airspace areas, including live-fire exercises.
According to the announced coordinates and maps, there are five blocks located north of Keelung, east of Taitung, south of Pingtung, southwest of Penghu waters, and in the Taiwan Strait area from northwest of Taoyuan to Matsu, forming a posture that surrounds Taiwan.
