Ken Chu Criticizes F4 Songs as Unpleasant; Chang Chen-yue Refutes, Calls Him 'F1 Who Left the Group'

Ken Chu was excluded from the F4 reunion and clashed with high-level management at 'B'in Music', an incident that has lasted for several days. Previously, he stated, 'By my standards, F4's songs are hard to listen to.' However, singer-songwriter Chang Chen-yue, speaking from a professional perspective, disagrees. On the 16th, he refuted: 'From a creative standpoint, they're very pleasant.'
Ken Chu not only complained that 'being an artist is too painful', but he also doesn’t like the music from his own group. He once blurted out: 'As for F4's songs, I simply don't like them. As long as you like them, that's fine. The only reason I'm willing to sing F4's songs during performances is because they're part of everyone's childhood memories. If I judge by my own music tastes, I actually think those songs are not good.' These remarks sparked heated discussion.
On the 16th, Chang Chen-yue posted a photo of the 'Meteor Garden' comic at a clinic's counter in his Instagram story, sharing his thoughts: 'The F1 who left the group says that "Meteor Rain" doesn't fit his musical aesthetics, but when this song came out back then, the chords in the first two bars of the chorus sounded really nice to me. I say this from the standpoint of composing pop songs.' His implication was that Ken Chu is the 'F1 who left the group.' While Ken claims 'Meteor Rain' doesn’t suit his musical taste, Chang praised the chords in the first two bars of the chorus from a songwriter's point of view.
