(Bandar Seri Begawan, 2nd) The Royal Brunei Police Force yesterday received a delegation from the Sarawak Police Special Task Force led by Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman, further consolidating the long-term friendly cooperative relationship between both sides and deepening exchanges and cooperation in the field of law enforcement.
The welcoming ceremony was hosted by the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Datuk Sulaiman, at the Officers' Banquet Hall at the Royal Brunei Police Force Headquarters in Gadong, warmly welcoming the Sarawak police delegation.
Those present at the welcoming ceremony and meeting included Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Pengiran Mohd Shafra, as well as senior officers from various departments.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman inspected the guard of honour of the Royal Brunei Police Force upon arrival.
Subsequently, Royal Brunei Police Force Commissioner Datuk Sulaiman and Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman held bilateral talks, engaging in in-depth exchanges on issues of mutual concern.
After the talks, both parties exchanged souvenirs to express sincere gratitude and reaffirm the deep friendship and close cooperative relationship established between the two police forces over the years.
During the meeting, both sides discussed a range of shared interests, with a focus on strengthening cooperation on security matters, deepening cross-border crime intelligence exchange, and enhancing mechanisms for law enforcement collaboration.
They also exchanged views on strategic intelligence sharing, progress of liaison officers, combating cross-border crime, strengthening maritime law enforcement cooperation, conducting joint enforcement operations and joint patrols, as well as promoting joint training programs, in order to further enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between the two sides.
