After Chinese actor Wang Xing went missing and was rescued from the Thai-Myanmar border, it was reported that the families of 174 individuals trapped in Myanmar filled out a document titled 'National Joint Rescue Appeal for 174 "Stars" Trapped in Myanmar'.

According to Red Star News, last week, Wang Xing, whose stage name is 'Star', went missing after traveling to Thailand. The Thai government found him in Myanmar on the 7th and brought him back. On the same day, in a support group for families of people trapped in Myanmar, consisting of 487 members, the group leader collected information about those trapped using an online document. When the news of Wang Xing's rescue was shared in the group, 174 families filled it out. The document was eventually named 'National Joint Rescue Appeal for 174 "Stars" Trapped in Myanmar'.

Wang Xing was lured to Thailand for filming and went missing on January 3rd. The Thai government announced on Tuesday that he was found in Myanmar and subsequently brought back to Thailand.

A video from Thai media shows Wang Xing being interviewed by the media accompanied by Thai officials. He expressed his gratitude to the Thai government in Chinese and said, 'Thailand is very safe, I will come again'.

The video circulated on the Chinese internet, prompting mixed reactions from netizens. Some were skeptical, believing Wang Xing was still shaken and made the statement to thank the Thai government. Others argued that traveling to Thailand and seeking employment are two separate matters, asserting that tourism in Thailand is generally safe.

According to TVB News Hong Kong, several families of Hong Kong people trapped in Myanmar also went to the Thai Consulate General in Hong Kong on the 8th to petition for assistance from the Thai government to help their family members out of their predicament.
