JD Jingzao recently launched the Au99.99 gold phone case, with an entry price of 11,299 RMB (6,503 MYR), and the most expensive model priced at 112,299 RMB (64,600 MYR), claiming that it is “not just an accessory” but an asset you can carry with you.
According to Chinese media reports, JD Jingzao launched this style of gold phone case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max on the 21st, positioning it as “a high-value protective case, and even more so, a portable asset.”
The phone case uses a split design, composed of a basic protective shell and a detachable gold plate. The gold plate is available in five specifications: 10g, 20g, 30g, 50g, and 100g.
The corresponding prices are: 10g for 11,299 RMB; 20g for 22,499 RMB (12,900 MYR); 30g for 33,699 RMB (19,300 MYR); 50g for 56,199 RMB (32,300 MYR); and 100g for 112,299 RMB.
This luxury phone case is not eligible for a 7-day no-reason return or exchange. Given the real-time fluctuation of international gold prices, no refunds can be processed after the transaction is completed, and price difference compensation or price protection services are not supported either. Additionally, a specific delivery date cannot be specified.
The page also includes a safety warning: Due to the properties of gold, when using wireless charging or when in proximity to devices with strong electromagnetic fields such as microwave ovens or induction cookers, the phone case might unintentionally heat up due to electromagnetic induction, posing safety risks. Users are advised to avoid such usage scenarios.
JD Jingzao customer service stated that pre-orders for this gold phone case have already begun, with the official launch on January 30. Each gold phone case comes with a certificate of authenticity.
