Tiananmen Square in Beijing will hold a ceremony on September 3 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War Victory, including a military review. To ensure the safety of flight activities related to the event, the Beijing municipal government issued a notice on the 14th, designating nine districts of the city as no-fly restricted zones starting from the 16th, lasting for more than half a month.

According to the notice, from midnight on Wednesday to midnight on September 3, the administrative regions of Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian, Fengtai, Shijingshan, Tongzhou, Changping, and Mentougou districts will be set as no-fly restricted zones. Except for relevant flight activities organized for the memorial event and special releases of peace doves, balloons, etc., it is forbidden to release any objects that may affect flight safety, and bird releases will be restricted in certain time periods.

The notice mentions that during this period, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, pigeons and other birds raised in each district must be kept in captivity and are prohibited from being released. The pigeon association must supervise its members, lofts, and clubs to strictly abide by the relevant regulations and must not affect flight safety.

Within the no-fly restricted zones, it is forbidden to launch drones, racing drones, as well as kites, balloons, sky lanterns, and other objects that may affect flight safety. District governments should carefully investigate potential hazards to flight safety, and departments at all levels should strictly punish illegal behavior in accordance with the law. If a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility will be pursued in accordance with the law.
