On the afternoon of the 15th, a small plane crash occurred in Toluca, in central Mexico State, resulting in at least 7 deaths.
The state's civil protection department said there were a total of 8 passengers and 2 crew members on board the plane at the time.
According to Hernandez, an official with the State Civil Protection Department, the small plane took off from Acapulco, a port city in southern Mexico, that day, with the destination being Toluca City Airport. It crashed before landing and triggered a large fire on the ground.
Mexican media reported that the plane crashed near the airport and struck an industrial warehouse.
Toluca is located about 60 kilometers southwest of Mexico City, the capital of Mexico.
