Lin Minchen Intends to Make Peace but Still Excluded from Promotion

Malaysian goddess Lin Minchen appeared at a flash event yesterday, personally explaining the no-show incident, stating that she has apologized to director Pang Ho-cheung and will cooperate with the film promotion in the future. She expressed her gratitude towards her rumored boyfriend Edan for publicly defending her and vowed to be more careful in safeguarding her passport. Although Lin Minchen repeatedly apologized, she was still excluded from today's movie promotion. Director Pang Ho-cheung revealed that she intends to make peace, but he will not attend.

Recently, Lin Minchen claimed she couldn't attend the Hong Kong premiere of the movie "Seeing Ghosts on Mobile" because she lost her passport, but later appeared outside the theater, earning her the nickname "Liar Zhen"! Yesterday, she attended a flash event in Central, arriving 15 minutes early to learn dance steps. With the escort of three security guards, she prepared to shoot on Queen's Road's pedestrian walkway, attracting a large crowd. When the music played, wearing a rabbit hat, she danced with other performers for 10 minutes before taking a group photo.

After the event, Lin Minchen was interviewed and asked if she arrived early to make up for the previous no-show. She replied that she has been in Hong Kong these days and formally apologized to director Pang Ho-cheung, acknowledging her mistake for missing the premiere. Regarding Pang's claim she didn't communicate beforehand, she said she informed the Malaysian organizers of any issues immediately, who also sent someone to Hong Kong. It seems the misunderstanding happened because everyone was busy for the premiere. When asked if Pang accepted her apology, she said: “The director is very nice. When I called him, he was all smiles and kept telling me it was fine.”

Director Explicitly Says He Won't Attend

The no-show caused the organizers to compensate and the promotion team to write a report. In response to Lin Minchen's apology, Pang Ho-cheung said in an interview that she contacted him through the Malaysian investors and called personally: “I think she is sincere and even suggested inviting all involved parties, including the promotion staff and premiere venue provider, for a meal. However, I'm going to Yunnan to shoot a film for two months, so I won't attend.” Although Lin Minchen vouched to cooperate with the film promotion, her name was absent from today's promotional event. Regarding this, Pang said: “Because the relevant colleagues think she is not suitable for this occasion! Maybe there will be other arrangements later! I'm just the one being informed! Let it go! What's done is done, let's all move forward.”
