(Bandar Seri Begawan, 18th) In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan and upholding the spirit of caring and unity, Standard Chartered Bank Brunei recently participated in the 2026 Ramadan Community Kitchen Outreach program organized by Society for Community Outreach and Training (SCOT), sending warmth and support to families in need.
This event was held at The Kitchen Table, with a total of 30 Standard Chartered Bank employees participating, including members of the bank's senior management. During the event, employees worked together, preparing, cooking, and delivering a total of 250 meals, which were donated to underprivileged families residing at the Jalan Sentosa Temporary Shelter.
Through participating in SCOT's Community Kitchen program, Standard Chartered Bank Brunei not only dedicated time and resources to support those in need, but also further cultivated teamwork and a spirit of volunteerism among its employees. The entire event was filled with a positive atmosphere, as employees, united in the desire to give back to society, worked hand in hand to accomplish every aspect of the program.
Charleen, Chairman of the Standard Chartered Bank Brunei Recreation Club, commented on the event: “We are delighted to participate in SCOT’s Community Kitchen initiative during this Ramadan. Such activities provide employees with a meaningful opportunity to unite and serve the community together, while also further reflecting the values our organisation holds dear: care, teamwork and social responsibility.”
The 2026 Ramadan Community Kitchen initiative once again highlights Standard Chartered Bank Brunei's continued commitment to promoting community involvement and social impact, and also demonstrates its collaborative efforts with local organizations to bring about positive change to society during the holy month of Ramadan.
