Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Discusses China's Technology: Where There is a Blockade, There is a Breakthrough

Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., Xie Feng, spoke in Washington on the 28th about China's journey of technological innovation, stating that where there is a blockade, there is a breakthrough; where there are waves, we will ride the waves and forge ahead.

According to a report by China News Service, the Chinese Embassy in the United States hosted a premiere event for the film "My China Album - My Chinese Footprint" and an experience event on Modernized China. In his speech, Xie Feng made the above remarks.

Xie Feng emphasized that China's technological innovation has undergone numerous challenges and continued to upgrade through perseverance. This success is attributed to a globally competitive innovation ecosystem, consistently high R&D investment, and a continuously growing pool of talent, with generations of Chinese people striving hard. Where there is a blockade, there is a breakthrough; where there are waves, we will ride the waves and forge ahead.

Xie Feng said that modernization is an inalienable sacred right of all peoples, and no nation should be left behind on the path to modernization. The "Iron Curtain" only leads to self-isolation, and attempts to block other countries only delay the pace of global technological innovation. Weaponizing technological cooperation harms one's own credibility and competitiveness.

At the event, the "My China Album - My Chinese Footprint" series of films was screened, and Chinese tech companies showcased the results of "Made in China." Guests interacted closely with robots, communicated across languages using AR glasses, and traveled through the Sanxingdui site with VR glasses, experiencing the technological pulse of modernized China.
