(Tehran, 15th) Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi has confirmed that wars and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will end immediately and permanently.

According to Reuters, Gharibabadi, who is responsible for legal and international affairs, confirmed on Iranian state television early Monday (June 15) that all military actions would end on Monday.

He also claimed that Iran had achieved a "great victory" in the war against the United States.

He said: “The enemy who launched the war to achieve evil purposes has been totally defeated, and Iran has achieved a great victory in the war.”

The Iranian Supreme Joint Military Command said that under the leadership of Supreme Leader Mujtaba, the Iranian people have proved to the United States that “accepting defeat is their only option.”

In addition, Gharibabadi pointed out that the topics for the 60-day negotiations will include ending sanctions, establishing an Iranian reconstruction mechanism, and creating a mechanism to monitor commitments by all parties.

He said that negotiations on a final agreement would take place within 60 days, but whether Iran could negotiate with the United States depends on whether the U.S. fulfills its initial promises.

He emphasized that if the other side “breaches the agreement,” Tehran will take corresponding measures.

In an interview with Iran’s state television IRIB, Gharibabadi noted that before Tehran officially signs the peace memorandum of understanding in Switzerland on Friday (19th), Washington’s adherence to its commitments will be verified.

According to Mehr News Agency, the United States will unfreeze $12 billion (about RM48.5 billion) of Iranian assets before the negotiations begin. The report cites a 14-point memorandum of understanding signed by both Iran and the United States.

The document published by Mehr News Agency stipulates that during the 60-day period of negotiations starting after the memorandum is signed, “$24 billion of Iranian assets will be unfrozen.”

This as-yet officially unconfirmed document specifically states that “half of the funds must be delivered to Iran before the negotiations begin.”
