(Kuala Lumpur, 21st) A baby stroller fell from an escalator, resulting in a 2-year-old boy sustaining minor injuries.

Kuala Lumpur Brickfields District Police Deputy Chief Ahmad Faedous pointed out that the incident occurred around 5:11pm on Saturday (December 20) at a shopping mall in Brickfields. At the time, a 40-year-old Indonesian maid is believed to have been pushing the stroller from the first floor and taking the escalator down to the ground floor.

He said that the stroller carrying the 2-year-old boy suddenly slipped and fell down the escalator.

“The boy was then sent to a nearby private clinic for further examination, and it was confirmed that he only suffered an injury to his forehead.”

Ahmad Faedous stated in a press release that after receiving outpatient treatment, the boy was handed back to his parents.

“The woman involved was sent to Kuala Lumpur General Hospital for treatment of injuries to her neck and leg.”

“As of now, the police have not received any report from the family concerned.”
