Hong Kong heartthrob Jackson Wang has been appointed by the International Fencing Federation (FIE) as the first-ever global ambassador in FIE’s history. He will bridge top-tier sports, music, and fashion, bringing fencing into the spotlight for a new generation of young people on the road to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Jackson Wang began his fencing career as a child in Hong Kong, following in the Olympic footsteps of his father. Now, although he has become a global music superstar—with chart-topping records and over 100 million social media followers—he has never forgotten his roots. He hopes to inspire and motivate a new generation of fencers. He stated: "Although I ultimately chose to pursue a music career, fencing has always flowed through my veins. As the global ambassador for fencing, my mission is to represent all athletes embarking on the 'Road to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics' and to bring this energy to the world of fencing. I want to show young people everywhere that there’s nothing wrong with bravely pursuing your dreams, whether you choose to pick up a sabre or a microphone."
