Lai Jialing: Student Excellence Inspires Joint Efforts of All Teachers and Students

(Miri, 13th) Principal of Miri Chung Hua Middle School, Lai Jialing, stated that the outstanding achievements of students not only showcase the results of school education but also inspire all teachers and students to work together to create greater value for the school and society.

She emphasized that the goal of education is to cultivate "kind and intelligent students" and to advance comprehensive development with this as the core.

She made these remarks in her speech at the "2024 Annual Glorious Academics, Sports, Extracurricular Activities, and Character Honors Award Ceremony" held at Miri Chung Hua Middle School this morning.

She pointed out that 2024 is a fruitful year for Miri Chung Hua, with students excelling not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities, sports competition, and community service. For example, 20 students achieved all A's in SPM. In STPM, one student achieved an outstanding 4A result, with a 100% pass rate, and 18 students had a CGPA higher than 2.0.

In the field of extracurricular activities, students of Miri Chung Hua have also demonstrated diverse talents. The school's robotics team excelled in international competitions, achieving great results in the Borneo International Robotics Competition and standing out in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) held in Italy and Turkey.

Additionally, the school's wind band has frequently won awards in domestic competitions, bringing glory to the school.

In sports, athletes from Miri Chung Hua have won numerous awards in state and national competitions. Through relentless effort and teamwork, they have demonstrated the "Chung Hua Go!(Up Up Chung Hua!)" spirit.

Principal Lai highly praised the students' efforts in her speech and expressed gratitude for the diligent work of the teachers and the full support from the parents. She especially thanked the Parent-Teacher Association, Alumni Association, and School Board for their comprehensive support in finances, knowledge, and spirit.

She conveyed to all students, "Excellence is just a new starting point. I hope you will use the awards as motivation and continue to pursue higher goals. For those who have not yet won awards, do not be discouraged. With perseverance and effort, success will eventually come your way."
