Gunfire Celebrations in Beirut
After the ten-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect, in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh, some residents rode motorcycles onto the streets, waving flags, and the sound of gunfire echoed through several neighborhoods.
Stray bullets caused varying degrees of damage to vehicles and private property in the surrounding areas.
Many residents expressed relief over the ceasefire agreement but also voiced concerns about the fragility of the truce.
