The Director of the Iranian President's Office, Mirsayi, responded to rumors of disagreements between President Pezeshkian and commanders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, explicitly denying them.
He stated that in all various meetings attended by the President and relevant commanders, all decisions have been unanimously approved, and there have been no disagreements.
On the 5th, Iran International TV, headquartered in London, quoted sources close to the President as saying that President Pezeshkian furiously criticized the Revolutionary Guard's attack on the UAE as 'completely irresponsible' and described the move to escalate tensions with neighboring countries as 'madness.'
However, the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs both issued statements on the 5th, denying that Iran had conducted any missile or drone attacks against the UAE in recent days, and warned that should there be any hostile actions coming from the UAE, Iran would respond resolutely.
Denying Rumors of Presidential Resignation
Additionally, earlier the same day, an official from the Iranian President’s Office denied rumors that Pezeshkian might resign, stating that such claims were rumors fabricated by some media outlets to create hype.
