Chinese actress Zhao Lusi recently fell out with her former agency Galaxy Cool Entertainment and is now represented by Orca Entertainment. Today (the 20th), her studio suddenly released a statement on Weibo, announcing that they will be taking legal action against 17 Weibo accounts.
The statement pointed out, “In recent months, there have frequently been insulting and defamatory comments targeting Ms. Zhao Lusi online.” The studio emphasized that these malicious remarks have not only infringed upon Zhao Lusi’s rights to reputation and her image, but have also seriously disrupted online order. The studio stated they would absolutely not tolerate such actions, and intends to pursue them according to law in order to protect the artist’s innocence and dignity.
The statement added, “In order to effectively safeguard Ms. Zhao Lusi’s legal rights, our company has retained a professional legal team.” It is reported that the legal team has already identified multiple Weibo accounts involved in illegal behaviors and completed the process of evidence collection; judicial proceedings have also been officially initiated.
The statement stressed that the current action is “only the first step by our company in protecting Ms. Zhao Lusi’s legal rights,” and at the same time, the studio issued a final warning, demanding that illegal behaviors cease immediately and all infringing content be deleted, otherwise they will pursue the matter to the end.
